WIP: Dryads

I started work on my existing Wood Elves Dryads. Will be painting them greenish color to represent the onset of spring.

Above are the 24 Dryads assembled and with Knarloc Green foundation paint applied. They'll get a wash of Thraka Green followed by some Badab Black after. Only then will the real process begin with Gretchin Green :)

While the Dryads of Warhammer are nice in a botanical way, I always envisioned Dryads to be taking female form. Much like the Dryad portrayed by the talented Todd Lockwood in this amazing piece of art below:

This is a Rushwood Dryad from Magic the Gathering card game. Wish some Dryads could be like that in miniature form haha!

Anyways, I still have 2 boxes to make another 24 Dryads. I'll probably start assembling them and paint them in greys and browns for some variety.

I brought the Dryads along in case i ran out of stuff to paint. Looks like they came in handy ;)

Am sorta coming down with a bit of cold due to the drop in temperatures.

Winter is coming...

  3. Yeah manz! I'm sticking with WE :)) Gonna make it work or die trying, probably the latter LOL!

Also i didn't want to start another Fantasy army. Compared to starting a 40K army, Fantasy is more expensive too..

    I'm going Green! LOL!
