Kung Fu Fightin'!

I wandered the city a couple days ago and found myself at the local comic shop once again. I was looking through their really nice selection of miniatures when a model caught my eye. It was a mini of Bruce Lee! I bought it immediately and it has proven a constant distraction whilst i was painting up my Dark Angel Space Marines.

The mini is from Reaper Miniature's Chronoscope range. They named the mini Chan Li, Martial Arts Master, and it was skillfully sculpted by Gene Van Horne.

I could not resist any longer and decided to paint him right up today. Hopefully now i can now concentrate on finishing painting my DA ;)

I had a lot of fun painting him, and did spend quite some time trying to get the face expression right. I may use him to represent an Imperial Assassin my WH40K games lol!

Aaaaa...chawww!!!

Back view of the muscled pugilist.

I also made up some imaginary stats for him in the style of 40K hehe!

Here goes:

Bruce, the Dragon

Unit Type:
-Infantry

Individual:
-An army can only include one Bruce the Dragon.

Wargear:
-Nunchucks (counts as 2 close combat weapons).
-Fists

Special Rules:
-Fearless
-Independent Character
-Fleet
-Eternal Warrior
-Counter Attack
-Hit and Run
-Way of the Dragon
-Fists of Fury

Way of the Dragon:
-Bruce can choose to re-roll either all rolls to Hit or to Wound.
-Bruce also has a 4+ invulnerable save to represent his skill of blocking and his lightning fast reflexes.

Fists of Fury:
-Bruce has the Furious Charge special rule/ability.
-On the turn he charges, he can choose to add D6 extra Attacks.
-Fists of Fury are Rending.

Hope you were entertained by this. I for one had fun making up the rules. No points cost listed as he will probably never be used in a game. It would be interesting though...

Mid week is upon us. Press on and all :)

I leave you all with a few quotes from the legend that has inspired me:

"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."

"To know oneself is to study oneself in action with another person."

"Real living is living for others."
-Bruce Lee

very nicely painted miniature ver of Bruce Lee. His 6 pack and muscles painted very well and the chest highlights POWER! His face also got that don't screw with me look.

He will make a very good Imperial assassin model.

  2. Thanks man :)) I enjoyed painting the dude lots.

I'll probably be getting the Grey Knights codex. I got 10 of the metal PAGK and a box of Termi GKs. Also Brother-Captain Stern. The new codex sounds like they have a low model count. So should be great as i dun have to buy alot to complete it haha!

  4. Cool man! Yup agree with u on the low model count being a draw too. I still have obsession with small elite armies.

Already have 4 elite armies in my collection so far. Looking to make that 5 ;P
