Also read the short story A Son's Burden by Andy Smillie. Really enjoyed the struggle the Flesh Tearers had with the Red Thirst. I particularly remembered what Gabriel Seth said to Chaplain Appollus. It showed Seth's hope for his chapter and how he would also fight in defence of the Blood Angels homeworld.
"How can we ever find our way back from the brink if we have nothing to turn back to?’
-Gabriel Seth to Chaplain Appollus
I had only one spare plastic Terminator left from the Dark Vengeance set. Did a simple conversion and armed him with lightning claws.
Tried to model the miniature similar to Brother Raeloen of the Flesh Tearers. The armor was real easy to paint with the Khorne Red base paint. Covers nicely and smoothly. Then I highlighted the armor with Wadakka Red. For final highlights, I added the old Dwarf Flesh to watered down Wazdakka Red.
Painted on the proud emblem of the Flesh Tearers. He raises the lightning claw in a challenge to the foul xenos!
The crux terminatus on his left shoulder. Followed the paint scheme from the painting guide for Sons of Sanguinus. Basically its Skavenblight Dinge as a base. Then Dawnstone drybrush followed by the magical Agrax Earthshade. Then Karnak Stone on the raised details followed by a final highlight of Ushabti Bone.
Back view. The Dark Angels terminator base came with a good amount of purity seals and easily identifies him as the Sergeant of the squad.
Still a work in progress. Squad Danatael of the Flesh Tearers Chapter.
That's all from me for now. Have a great weekend everyone.
In the words of Leonard Nimoy "Live Long and Prosper!"
He will be missed.
