Finally completed one 5 man squad of Deathwing Terminators. They are still to be based, but it took quite a while...
Deep Strike roll....
And its a HIT!
Haha! Wish that happens everytime ;)
Here be Brother Garamon of the Deathwing. The last member of the Master of Deathwing's Command Squad.
He was previously a Celestial Lion Space Marine. After stripping off some of the paint, he became a member of the Deathwing.
Converted the Chainfist from a Tactical Marine chainsword. I had cut off the original chainfist attachment, much to my regret.
View of other side with Storm Bolter.
Back view.
And finally, the entire squad from table edge view.
Deep Striked & ready to Run into cover!

Next Project: Storm Raven
I've started with assembly of my first Storm Raven. It was quite ok to assemble most of the parts. But am planning to paint the interior as well. I also may not assemble the entire craft as i need to be able to transport it back home to Singapore lol!
The major pieces above ready for priming and hopefully painting soon. A lot of big flat surfaces, and i don't have an airbrush...It might be a challenge to get that smooth coat on.
Also...
Close-up of The Spear of Kaldonius as requested ;)
With camera flash..
Without camera flash.
Hope this one is clearer. I got to maximum zoom heheh!
The Dreadnoughts complete! For Sanguinius!

Furioso Librarian Dreadnought Kaldonius
I took a bit of a break after painting the last Dreadnought. The Furioso Librarian took a bit of time to paint. He had a lot of nice details like parchments, scrolls and stuff. The front of the sarcophagus was especially detailed. I think i enjoyed painting this variant the most :)
Some fluff for the man:-
The final battle of Brother-Librarian Kaldonius was not witnessed by any of his brethren. His command squad had fought bravely and given their lives for the Emperor. Kaldonius himself was found barely alive and unconscious. He was crushed beneath the corpse of an enormous Hive Tyrant.
Kaldonius had multiple mortal wounds and to extricate him from the corpse of the monster, his brethren had to sever the six flesh hooks embedded into his body. Kaldonius's force spear was impaled into the chest of the Hive Tyrant, its blade blackened and half-melted, a testament to strength of the force of wills at play during the final moments of the confrontation.
With the death of the Hive Tyrant, the Imperial Guard forces and the remnants of the Flesh Tearer's 4th Company were able to turn the tide of the battle. Truly, a single flame in the night had brought hope in the form of Brother Librarian Kaldonius.
Kaldonius himself was later interred into the sarcophagus of the Furioso Dreadnought. His will and mind were undiminished, and now clad in a body of admanatium, the Librarian seeks vengeance for those who fell in the defence of Galend Hive.
Front view. I gave the base a bit of variation in color. Still got some highlights to be done on the entire model.
View of his Blood Fist with Storm Bolter.
Other side view, this time of his Force Weapon, containing fragments of the blackened metal of his former force spear.
Back view.
And finally, a view of Kaldonius himself, now interred within the Dreadnought chassis.
He's looking forward to wreck vengeance on the enemies of Humanity, especially the Tyranids.
Thats all i got for today ;)
Cheers!

The Tale of Istarael
(More pics below)
I've been painting up my Death Company Dreadnought Brother Istarael. He's almost done. Currently on the first stages of highlighting. The base also needs to be done up. He's been a really fun project to convert and to paint :)
I also wrote up a bit of fluff on him. Please excuse the grammatical errors hehe!
I present to you, the Tale of Istarael...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blood.
He likens it to the soul in liquid form, an ever present voice coursing through his veins. It sings when his enemies are vanquished, the ocean of their blood invisible upon his armor.
Blood..
A reminder of who he is and what he has become. Astartes. Emperor's Finest. A Son of Sanguinius. A warrior of the Flesh Tearers Chapter.
He can hardly recall his past battles and victories now. They all have become a blur, an indistinct amalgamation with the images interwoven into a fabric of water. He seeks to remember the faces of his brother marines, but the effort is like trying to focus on a speck of dust in a sandstorm.
Istarael grips his hands in frustration and anger. The ceramite armor of his gauntlets grinding against metal. A voice like bright steel pierces through the haze. "At ease Istarael. Blood will be shed. But not now." He turns and gazes upon a mask bearing the visage of death. A memory stirs. Chaplain. Jaron. Brother. Istarael relaxes his grip on the haft of his power sword slightly. Chaplain Jaron withdraws his hand and returns it to the pommel of his Crozius Arcanum.
Istarael slams his hand behind him for balance as the world around him lurches. His mind clears for moment as he recognizes the interior of a Rhino transport. The dim reddish light of the cabin illuminates other figures seated around him. All were silent yet he could sense that through their battle armor, his brothers were all tense with a seething bound rage.
The Rhino grinds to an abrupt halt. As the ramp opens, that first sliver of light melts away the crimson interior to reveal figures clad in black armor. Istarael blinks as the image of himself in blood red armor fades away. He is Death Company now. He and his brothers are The Afflicted. This is the battle that matters. The honor of his Chapter and his legacy as a Space Marine hinges upon this very battle.
"Brothers!" calls the stern yet commanding voice of Chaplain Jaron. "The enemy is in sight. They are without number. But we are without fear. For we are rage unbound!"
Jaron sweeps his Crozius in the direction of the Ork horde clambering over the ruins, thumbing the activation rune as does so and leaving a trail of crackling blue lightning.
"For the Emperor! For Sanguinius! Death to the alien!" bellows Jaron.
"Death! Death! DEATH!" roars the brethren of the The Afflicted as they charge toward the Orks.
Istarael's power sword flares into life. He hears his twin hearts beating fast, almost in tune with the crunch of his metal shod feet on the rockcrete as he hurtles towards the enemy. He hears his blood roaring in his ears singing with a wordless fury. The greenskins answer with a primal roar of their own.
And then it changed. Istarael sees the Orkish forms blurring, their bodies melting and indistinct for but a moment. The enemy are now clad in ancient power armor with glowing balefire burning through the eyes of their helmets. Istarael grips his power sword with both hands and swings it with all his might, taking off the head of the first Ork.
The Black Rage is upon the brethren. And now the Orks shall know the fury of Sanguinius.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three days later...
Smoke rises from the ruins and sporadic firing could still be heard. In the ruins of Horovitz, all is silent. Green crumpled forms lie prostrate and mangled on the debris. The multitude of Ork dead only broken up by black armored forms. All unmoving.
A pile of Ork bodies stirs, then suddenly heaves upwards as a black armored form rises from it. His armor is rent and buckled in many places. The eye lenses of his skull shaped visor shattered. Joran limps forward, only one arm holding on to his Crozius, the other sheared off by an Ork power claw.
The Chaplain approaches the other black armored forms lying on the battlefield. Detecting no lifesigns, he begins to intone the prayers commending the souls of his brethren to the Emperor.
His prayer for Brother Giovan is interrupted by the arrival of the rest of the 4th Company. Crimson dust covered Rhino and Razorback transports roll in from the fog, stopping at the edge of the ruins as combat squads disembark to secure the perimeter.
The day had been won thanks to the heroism and actions of the Death Company.
Joran moves towards the sight of a black gauntlet sticking out beneath a huge pile of Ork dead. Pushing the foul smelling xenos off, he prepares his mind to pray for his fallen brother.
It is Istarael. His armor is torn and the paint has mostly been stripped off by the many blows the enemy has struck on it. There was only a bloody ruin to where his left leg had been and his right was badly mauled. His right arm appears to have been torn off, but his left arm is intact, the hand still wrapped around the crushed throat of an Ork.
Istarael stirs as Joran touches his forehead. The Chaplain activates the comm-unit in his helmet "Brother Nathaniel, this is Joran. To me."
The Chaplain is joined moments later by Sanguinary-Priest Nathaniel. "He lives." says Joran.
Nathaniel readies the Narthecium but Jaron stays his hand. "No."
Nathaniel withdraws his arm and gives the Brother-Chaplain a nod of understanding.
Istarael is borne away by the Sanguinary Priest.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had been a week since their glorious charge into the ruins of Horowitz. The Death Company holding the Ork tide long enough for elements of the Imperial Guard and the Chapter to flank the enemy.
Brother-Chaplain Jaron flexes his bionic arm. The replacement was fully functional and therefore satisfactory for dispensing death to the enemies of the Emperor. He is dressed in robes of a dark rich crimson, and his wounds were almost fully healed.
Brother Techmarine Seraphon walks towards Jaron. "Is the replacement giving you trouble brother?" he asks.
"No. The arm is without flaw." Jaron replies. "My thanks Seraphon."
"He awakens." the Techmarine intones. Jaron stands to his feet. "Let us go attend him."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Istarael wakes up to a darkend interior, the only luminiscence a dim red. He tries to move.
"Be at ease, my brother." Jaron's voice is calm but forceful. The Dreadnought stops moving and Jaron senses its occupant looking down towards him. Jaron places his arm of metal upon the black armor of the Dreadnought. "Blood will be shed again. But not now." he says softly.
Istarael calms down, the dim redness of the interior of the sarcophagus becoming a blanket that comforts his mind.
When the time comes, he will be ready once again. There are more enemies of the Emperor yet to be expunged.
My thanks those of you who read this far. Hope you enjoyed it, and if not at least entertained ;P

Dreadnought WIP: Interior Decorating Part 1
I'll be working on my Furioso Librarian Dread first. The foam inserts into the Dreadnought's interior.
Below are (from left to right): Side panel, Back panel and other side panel.
They will be glued into the interior using PVA glue. I'll also be using some Gloss Varnish to make the screens 'shiner' later :)
The interior panels are installed.
This is the pilot of the Dreadnought Brother Kaldonius. He's a convertion from a Reaper Minature from the Chronoscope range. I painted the tubes reddish to represent life giving blood and fluids running through his maimed body.
Back view.
The Furiso Libby Dread with the front armor on.
The pilot in his permanent seat. At least until he cops it to a meltagun lol!
Brother Kaldonius givin' some attitude, clearly unhappy i have not painted the front armor yet.
Till next time ;)
Death Company Pilot added:
Above is Brother Istarael who pilots the Death Company Dreadnought. He will be interred into his sarcophagus soon as its finished up ;)

Dreadnoughts (In Progress)
I assembled and partially played around with the pieces for a bit. I think i can get more out of the 2 Dreadnought kits by indeed not gluing the front panel of the sarcophagus.
Below is the Furioso Librarian Dreadnought as my main build.
IF i do not glue the front armor, i can swap the normal Furioso front and equip it with a Frag Cannon arm and CCW arm :)
The pic below is of my Death Company Dreadnought.
Again by not gluing the front i can sort of also use it as a Furioso if i want. Again
it has the Frag Cannon and the extra Force Weapon arm can be treated as a CCW arm. Alternatively, just swap the front armor and use a Furioso with Blood Talons.
The only difficulty would be the color scheme difference in case of the DC Dread as its colored black. It may not be so obvious if the Chapter colors are Flesh Tearers though lol!
As i will not be gluing shut the front armor, i will have ample opportunity to gaze upon the interior of the Dreadnought. As it is a tad empty, i decided to model some stuff inside.
Did this by adding the occupants of the Dreadnoughts. Though not fully correct fluff wise (i think they are suspended in aminotic fluids), they should fill up the gap quite nicely ;)
I used some extra minis from Reaper Miniatures for the small conversion. The colored panels in the sarcophagus are foam. I plan to spray them black and paint details like panels and buttons on them. Above is the honored brother who pilots the DC Dread.
This here is the Librarian who pilots the Furioso Dreadnought. I will be adding smaller wires and tubes connecting him to the interior at a later date.
They are best friends already heheh :)
Thats all for today. This might take some time to paint.
Have a good day all!

Furious Ravens
Received my orders from Wayland Games today! It feels like a touch of Christmas again :)
I'll probably be using them for my Flesh Tearers army. I don't think i'll be collecting Grey Knights as yet. Gonna wait a month or two before deciding again heheh!
As for the Furioso Dreadnoughts, i'm trying to assemble them such that the front part of the sarcophagus can be swapped. Does anyone have any ideas or have done this successfully? Would sure be glad to have some advice on this.
Have a great start to the week everyone!
BatRep: Dark Angels vs Fallen Angels 1000pts
I had a game yesterday at the local GW using my Dark Angels.

One group of 5 man with Plasmacannon designated Squad Remus.
The other remaining 5 is one marine with Flamer and Sgt with Powerfist, designated Squad Ophrael.
The Setup
Opponent deployed his troops in ruins or with plan of going into ruins. I did pretty much the same.
---------------------------------------------------------
Fallen Turn 1
Tac Squad 1 moves and runs up to the top of the ruins. Tac Squad 2 moves and runs up to objective. Tac Squad 3 moves up to base of ruins.
Vindicator and Razorback all move up 12 inches.
Drop Pod comes in near Dark Angels objective. 10 Sternguard and “Pedro” disembark.
Double ones rolled for Sternguard to see DA Squad Remus but some manage to be in range. Vengeance rounds and two brothers of Squad Remus go down but they pass the morale check.
Dark Angels Turn 1
DA Squad Remus fires its Plasmacannon but shot goes wide. 2 Bolter shots take down 1 enemy Sternguard.
Squad Ophrael moves forward to provide supporting fire but Sternguard saves the 2 wounds inflicted.
Deathwing Squad moves onto the battlefield and fires its Assault cannon and 1 Storm bolter taking down 1 Sternguard.
Dreadnought Brother Aranur is unable to spot the enemy tanks.
Belial moves and runs towards Squad Ophrael’s position.
Fallen Turn 2
Vindicator and Razorback move up again to 12 inches.
Tac 3 moves further up the ruins.
Sternguard and “Pedro” moves up slightly and rapid fires into Squad Remus. After cover saves, only one of Squad Remus is standing, and he passes moral.
Tac 2 fires Krak missile at Belial but he makes the 2+ save. Drop Pod bolters fire at Deathwing to no effect.
Dark Angels Turn 2
Dreadnought moves up and shoots at Razorback it is shaken. Deathwing moves up and shoots, killing 2 Sternguard with Assault cannon fire.
Last survivor of Squad Remus moves back and rapid fires, killing one Sternguard. Squad Ophrael led by their Sgt fire their bolter and flamer at enemy, killing another 2 Sternguard.
Belial moves into cover.
Deathwing assaults enemy Sternguard and take them down. “Pedro” also goes down, taking 2 Thunderhammer and 1 powerfist wound.
Just as Brother Armaros connects his Thunder Hammer to the Fallen Captain's armor's a bright flash of dark light explodes outward and a terrible shrieking was heard. Of the Fallen's leader there was no sign....perhaps whisked away by the forces of Chaos yet again.
Fallen Turn 3
Vindicator moves 6 inches and fires the Demolisher cannon at Belial, the shot misses by 2 inches.
Razorback moves up and Tac 4 disembarks into ruins near Squad Cato.
Tac 4 rapid fires and flames Squad Cato taking 2 Dark Angles down.
Tac 2 fires Missile Launcher at Belial again who made the save.
Drop Pod shoots at Deathwing again but only wound is saved.
Other Squads do not move or shoot as they are out of range.
Dark Angels Turn 3
Belial moves and runs up again while giving orders to his brethren.
Dreadnought moves to the side for a shot at Vindicator through the ruins. Opponent fails cover save and the result is the Vindicator cannot shoot or move next turn.
Deathwing moves up shoots and assaults Drop Pod which explodes. The explosion does not harm the Deathwing.
Squad Cato moves up and shoots at Tac 4, taking down 2 out of 5 of the enemy before charging in. Combat sees one more of the enemy fall in battle and the Razorback cannot shoot. Squad Cato lose one of their number in return.
Squads Ophrael and Remus stay put.
Fallen Turn 4
Razorback reverses out of combat.
Vindicator stays put due to damage sustained previous round. Tac 3 moves up to get in range.
All Tacs 1, 2 and 3 fire bolters and a missile launcher at Belial who makes all his saves.
In combat Tac 4 takes down 1 more Dark Angel while losing one more of their number. Combat is drawn.
Dark Angels Turn 4
Deathwing moves up and shoots at Tac 3 killing 1 of the enemy.
Belial moves and runs up again.
Dreadnought moves up and fires at the Vindicator, taking out its Demolisher cannon as enemy fails cover save.
Squad Cato finishes off the enemy and consolidates towards enemy razorback.
Fallen Turn 5
Razorback turns and shoots at Belial. He passes armor save. Vindicator and shoots its storm bolter at Belial, who again passes armor save.
Tac 3 shoots multimelta at Deathwing Squad killing one. Tac 2 moves up and rapid fires Belial, he takes many wounds but passes his armor saves. Tac 1 also rapid fires bit Belial saves wounds. The meltagun from Tac 1 fires at Belial, who fails his invulnerable 5+ and is down for the battle.
Master Belial sprinted as fast as he could towards the objective held by the Fallen while relaying orders to his brother-marines. A steady rain of bolter shots ringing off his Terminator armor. Twice he was almost pushed off his feet by the ferocity of enemy fire. The objective and the cursed Fallen were but scant metres away when a bolt of incandescent fire struck, this time melting off the thick shoulder and leg armor of his left side. Warning lights and alarms flashed from his suit as it seized up and Belial fell to the ground. "Forward! Kill the traitors!" bellowed Belial as he commanded his brethren to press on without him.
Dark Angels Turn 5
Deathwing moves up and shoots at Tac 3, they make all saves. Deathwing charges into Tac 3 and kill all but 1. Lone Tac 3 marine with multimelta flees.
Dreadnought moves up and shoots at Vindicator, destroying its remaining weapon and immobilising it. Dreadnought then assaults Rhino, immobilising it twice, wrecking it.
Squad Cato moves up and shoots its Plasmagun at Razorback in the rear, wrecking it.
Game continues…
Fallen Turn 6
Lone Multimelta from Tac 3 regroups and fires at Deathwing killing one.
Tac 1 and 2 rapid fires with everything at Deathwing to no effect.
Dark Angels Turn 6
Deathwing moves and to shoot at and assault Tac 2 but only kills 2 of the enemy.
Dread charges into Tac 2 but whiffs his attacks.
Squad Cato moves and runs forward.
Game Ends.
Afterthoughts:
I really enjoyed the game as i found both our lists to be fun. I took what models i had on my collection as did my opponent. I really wanted a Missile Launcher a few times in the game, but i did not have the model here.
It was still quite close fought with lots of casualties on both sides. I think the Deathwing carried the day yet again, fighting through one flank to contest the objective.
My opponent forgot to use the Orbital Bombardment for "Pedro" and i felt he should have shot the Vindicator earlier.
My Interrogator-Chaplains will be busy indeed extracting confessions from the captured Fallen :)
